My Favorite Refrigerator for a Family

About a month ago I shared my Laundry Room Makeover and my Favorite Washer and Dryer for my family and today I am sharing my Favorite Refrigerator for a Family. Now, until about three or four years ago, I thought a refrigerator was just a refrigerator. That is until we had just moved into a home in Ohio where we were living at the time and we needed to buy a new refrigerator. I'm not sure how or why, but this was the very first time in our fifteen years of marriage that we needed to purchase a refrigerator. What I did know about refrigerators is that since I was a little girl I loved french door bottom freezer refrigerators. Growing up my grandparents had a refrigerator with french doors and well, I have very fond memories of spending time with my grandma and grandpa. :)

So three years ago when it was time for my husband and I to purchase a refrigerator I knew I wanted the french door bottom freezer. I love the LG brand and believe I am getting a superior product with LG, so It didn't take me long to decide on the LG French Door Refrigerator.  I would soon learn how much I loved it. Unfortunately after only two years we moved out of that house and left that refrigerator for the new homeowners. 

After a year in an apartment waiting for our new home to be done, it was time to move into our new home and I knew EXACTLY what refrigerator I wanted for our family because I absolutely loved the one I had bought just a few years before. It was so large we couldn't fit it through the front door so we had to remove the refrigerator doors to get it in the house. But once we got it all set up it was worth every bit of hassle that caused. Side note: remember to have it delivered AND installed in case something like this happens to you because taking off refrigerator doors is the LAST thing you want to be doing when moving.

When it first arrived I thought there was no way I would use all the different compartments and drawers. Well, soon the refrigerator was full and we absolutey LOVE it. The capacity is perfect for our large family. 

I LOVE the Easy Access Door-in-Door feature! I didn't think we would really use it, but I use it all the time to just grab my coffee creamer or the milk. The Door-in-Door makes it super quick and easy to grab what you use often without opening up the whole fridge.

I also love all of the small compartments and drawers. It really helps to keep the refrigerator somewhat organized, which can be difficult with four kids and LOTS of food!

The Custom Chill Drawer is awesome! We use it for all of our cheese and lunch meat.
