6 Sensational Spring Salads Your Family Will Love!
Spring is the perfect time to lighten-up our weekly meal plans with satisfying salads that make a delicious healthy meal all on their own!
Of course, you can make them an even heartier meal with the simple addition of a full-loaded baked potato, or a comforting bowl of homemade soup.
And letโs not forget about leftovers! Having extra salad on hand makes a super quick lunch, or can be used as a side dish for another nightโs dinner. So be sure to make extras!
Ready to load-up you plates with some healthy, satisfying salads? Here are a few of our springtime favorites. Yum!
Grilled Fajita Salad
Crisp and mild romaine lettuce is such a delicious compliment to the bold and juicy flavors of perfectly seasoned steak nestled in a bed of grilled veggies. Just toss in your favorite fajita-style additions and this Grilled Fajita Salad is over-the-top good!
Blackberry Salad with Grilled Spicy Shrimp
Another grilling favorite is this Sweet-n-Savory Blackberry Salad. The natural sweetness of fresh blackberries paired with savory grilled shrimp is a delicious combination that makes this salad a main dish meal all on its own!
Cobb Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette
You canโt go wrong with a classic! This delicious Cobb Salad is from my friend Carrie at Deliciously Organic. Itโs been a staple in my meal plan rotation for years because itโs so easy to make and everyone gobbles it up and asks for more!
Strawberry Balsamic Salad
Sweet, ripe strawberries and apple slices are the stars in this delicious Strawberry Balsamic Salad. Tangy feta cheese and crispy walnuts complement a mix of organic baby salad greens and help to balance out the sweetness of the fruit.
BLT Salad with Creamy Ranch
All the flavor of a traditional favorite transformed into a healthy whole food BLT Salad that everyone loves! Itโs so versatile too! Itโs the perfect side salad with a bowl of homemade soup, or serve it as a main dish meal by adding some diced grilled herb chicken.
Aloha Mango Salad with Pulled Pork
One of my favorite go-to dinners is to find creative ways to repurpose leftovers. This tropical-inspired salad is from my friend Tiffany at Whole Fork (update: this salad recipe is no longer available from Tiffany, but you can find a similar version HERE). I love topping this delicious island-style salad with leftover Slow Cooker Pulled Pork to create an easy, healthy meal in a snap!
