As a busy mom, thinking about what I am going to wear each day is sometimes just too much. I know it is silly but the truth is I'm just trying to make sure my nine year old's tee shirt is long enough to wear with her leggings, she has socks on and she actually decided to brush her hair! One of the very last things on the list in motherhood is, well, MOM. We have endless lists of to-dos and sometimes we can tend to forget ourselves. I'm not saying we need to spend an exorbitant amount of time on ourselves, but I am saying sometimes it helps to be a bit creative in making time for yourself. For me, it sure has been fun over the last several years to have my own personal stylist (sounds so fancy, doesn't it?!). But it really isn't fancy, just fun!
I discovered Stitch Fix several years ago and have been more than happy for years receiving their Fixes. They are surprisingly accurate with my style (NOTE: be sure to keep your style profile up to date!) and if I ask for specific pieces they are more than willing to find what I am looking for. I've added notes to my stylist such as: "I am looking for a large black slouchy purse.", "I would love a long Maxi skirt." or "Please send a pair of black skinny jeans." Every time they have delivered! I'm not sure how this is even possible but I rarely get a piece that doesn't fit. How do they know?! In full disclosure I will tell you that I have fixes that I really love and some that weren't my absolute favorite, but I always have at least one item in my Fix that I really like!
Below is my latest Stitch Fix that I was sent and I think they really nailed this one! I LOVE every item they sent me! I tried to chronicle the entire experience so you can see how fun it is! Also, I have a fun surprise for YOU at the end!
See how fun that is?! Now for the surprise....I spoke with some of the folks at Stitch Fix a few weeks ago to share my feedback on my experience over the last few years with Stitch Fix. They are a great group of people! After speaking with them, they wanted to offer the community of moms here at The Better Mom, which is YOU, a FREE styling.
What is a FREE styling?? Well, the styling fee for a fix is typically $20. But for the month of January, they are waiving that fee for The Better Mom readers. You can sign up to receive your first fix absolutely free, no strings attached, at absolutely NO cost to you. If you sign up at THIS LINK, they will send you your very first fix for FREE!
Wondering how it all works?? It is pretty simple.
You will get hand selected pieces fit for your style, shape, and budget straight from a professionally trained stylist along with her expert advice on how to wear them in your day-to-day. You can add in special requests or share a Pinterest board so your stylist knows exactly what you are looking for. Once you receive your Fix, you have three days to try on your pieces - keep only what you love, send back the rest in the prepaid shipping bag. Youโll only be charged for the items you keep & love once you checkout from your Fix.
