10 Meaningful Gift Ideas for Your Family this Christmas
Christmas time is right around the corner. Can you believe it?! With all the hustle and bustle this season brings, I am always on the hunt for meaningful gifts to give my children and family. For my children, it has become tradition over the years to give each child one gift in particular to spur them on and encourage them in their faith, which can be a Bible, journal, devotional etc. I also get one gift for the whole family, such as an advent book, game etc.
For other family members I really try to make at least one gift meaningful. There is something so special when the loved ones in our lives can see the sentiment behind the gifts we give them. Those will be the gifts they remember. Below are some of the most meaningful gifts you can give your family this Christmas.
I do not own this but I have wanted it for SO long. This stunning handmade Cradle to Cross Wreath from JoyWares crafted by Ann Voskampโs son is such a beautiful way to celebrate this season.
Hand Painted Journal by Hosanna Revival (personalize with their favorite Bible verse!) Okay, EVERYTHING from Hosanna Revival is beautiful! If you are looking for a very meaningful gift that you can even have personalized, I highly recommend purchasing a hand-painted journal or Bible.
BIBLES:
Bibles are always a special gift to give someone. Directly below is my very favorite journaling Bible and then I have listed a few solid choices for kids.
You guysโฆ.this prayer box is SO cool! Rad Joy handcrafts these prayer boxes and crosses (to pin your struggles, prayers etc. to). I was able to see these firsthand last year and I have been wanting one ever since! (no I donโt have one yet but hopefully sometime soon!) I have to say this prayer box would make the perfect giftโฆthey even have kidโs boxes AND you can personalize them.
This beautiful necklace from The Mercy House Global is a reminder of the mountains God can move on our behalf. This would make a great gift of encouragement and hope to someone going through a hard time.
DEVOTIONALS:
There are so many wonderful devotionals for all ages. Below are just a few of my very favorites (including my newly released TBM Devotional below).
This advent storybook below looks SO good. I actually found it when I was putting this gift guide together and ordered is straight away! I will be sure to share my thoughts on Instagram soon.
This Handmade Kenyan Banana Leaf Nativity from Mercy House is exquisite. I gave my mom a similar nativity for Christmas a few years ago. A handcrafted manger scene from overseas makes such a unique and special gift.
I LOVE the He Is 4pc Ornament Set from Gracelacedโฆ.not to mention they have TONS of other gorgeous and meaningful goodies to choose from.
This book below is one we have come back to time and time again as a family to read during dinner time or before bed. It is filled with short stories of Christians who have faced their lives with courage. We love this book!
I hope this list was helpful to you. Remember the gifts that get remembered are the gifts that had meaning! Happy gifting!
Many blessings,
Ruth Schwenk
