An Adventure for Your Kids Delivered Every Month!

An Adventure for Your Kids Delivered Every Month!

In today's culture, there is no shortage of learning opportunities for our children. Everywhere we turn there is a new method, workbook or style that will help our children learn to the best of their ability. With this plethora of choices, it can be difficult to sort through the best options. This is why I am always excited when a company reaches out to me to try their product. It gives me an opportunity to try it for myself and pass along my feedback to you! Recently, I had a company contact me that piqued my interest because it seems to combine fun AND learning, which can be hard to find! Also, it touts a Secret Detective Club which just sounds like something any child would want to be a part of!

My daughter Sophia eagerly tried Dispatch Kids and she loved it. Dispatch Kids, a subscription based company, is unique in that you receive a surprise box in the mail each month with all the tools you need to "solve the mystery". It is a game, mystery and learning opportunity all mixed in one. There are several pieces included in each box which takes your child on an adventure, solving the mystery. One part of our box included a map of a grocery store which required us to go shopping (pretend shopping with the map :)) for ingredients to make an ice cream shake. As we "shopped" for the ingredients, we were given clues and we learned about the different ingredients added to a shake. Then Sophia had the opportunity to create her own shake recipe with her favorite ingredients. So fun! We also had to find some clues online to solve our mystery! The whole adventure is laid out step by step in each box and it includes many different parts. All of the pieces work hand and hand to develop problem-solving skills, along with basic learning such as letter recognition and matching. The ages it is suggested for is 3-5 years old, but Sophia is 9 and even though it was simpler for her, she still loved all the different steps towards solving the mystery!

Here are Sophia's thoughts:

"It was so much fun! I liked how it was a game and you had to connect the dots to find the next clue."

Here is what Dispatch Kids has to say about their brand:

Developed by the makers of Breakout Games, Dispatch Kids challenges children ages 3-5 to learn their way, designing their own adventure through hands-on problem-solving in a fun, engaging, storyline-based game. Dispatch Kids is the only comprehensive, skills-based game developed along the popular Escape Game model that aligns with core standards for Kindergarten readiness and early primary grades.

The skills developed by playing this game mimic and prepare children for the cognitive, language, numerical, and social/emotional skills they will be tested on during Kindergarten screening and beyond. Repetitive play builds and reinforces skills learned in Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms.

Again, my daughter is 9 years old so the activities were simple for her, but it was still fun to play along and find the clues. I just wish this would of been around when my kids were younger! This is a fabulous subscription box for children 3-5 and even up to 6 or 7 years old. It will take some time to get through the activities which makes it worth it and it really engages their minds along the way. XOXO,

Ruth
