Mother's Day is just around the corner and depending on your family, you may get asked what you'd like for a gift! I love choosing fitness/health items because I feel that they are the gifts that keep on giving! Nothing better than taking care of your temple so that you may be energetic, strong, and mentally present for your family and anything else you are involved in!
I thought I'd put together a quick list of things that you may ask for for Mother's Day that will enhance your health. Here are some of my favorite things!
1.) Pull-Up Bar
I'm sure plenty of you are thinking, "Yeah right..I can't do a pull-up", and you might not be able to, but that's why you need this! There are ways to modify doing them (like purchasing a super band to assist you) but pull ups are one of my favorite full body exercises (Yes--I said, full body!) I got one last year for mother's day and it has been one of my best gifts, yet! Not to mention your hubby (and older kids) may enjoy it too!
2.) Cute workout wear and accessories!
I've got a secret. I don't wash my hair every day. This means I have "exercise" hair a lot of days, so I need to add some pop! I really love these headbands from One Up Bands! I get compliments on them all the time while working out or running errands! And ifย you are anything like me, then you wear workout clothes for every day life! I love zip-up jackets to throw on before and after a workout, or while I'm running errands in between! There are so many great textures and colors out there now. If you are overwhelmed, start with a basic black one! I check Marshalls, TJMaxx, JCPenney, or Target for mine!
3.) iTunes Gift Card
I love music. It's a huge part of my workout, whether I'm walking, doing pilates, running, or strength training! I love to revive my playlists often so an iTunes gift card always works!
4.) Deep Tissue/Sports Massage
What's a mother's day gift wish list without a massage, right?! If you are exercising in any capacity through the week, then your body needs some TLC! Don't underestimate the importance of taking care of your body when you "resting" and a good massage is included. Tell your hubby I said so! :)
Hope these things jog your brain a little. I could go on for a while but I don't want to overwhelm you. What would you add to the list? Be sure to check out my site regularly for free exercise tips, videos, recipes, and fitspiration! www.peak313.com
Press on!
