A Simple Way to Help Your Kids Learn the Bible and Memorize Scripture
Does busyness ever interfere with Bible-time in your family? Has it all just felt kind of complicated at times? Teaching our children God’s Word is a privilege. We have the opportunity to prepare them for life by equipping them to turn to Him when life gets tough.
We have spent the last almost two decades slowly but surely helping our kids learn and love God’s Word. It has never looked all perfect and put together like I wish it would or like it seems like all the other super moms on Instagram are doing. In real life, it looked like missing a day and still picking it up the next. It looked like sitting down together in the living room, starting our “God time” as a family, and then ending up having to repeat ourselves five times because someone wasn’t listening. But that didn’t stop us. We took advantage of the day in and day out pockets of time to read another Scripture, share another Devo, discuss another life lesson, watch another video, or listen to another worship song. The moments add up, friend.
Some of my favorite tools over the years were out of the box ideas where kids didn’t even realize they were learning the Bible! Whether it was a video or a song, it was a fun and interactive way for them to learn Scripture. These types of tools are such a fun way to help our kids learn the Bible and they are a natural addition to the routine. What child doesn’t love a fun song? The bonus is they can be learning God’s Word at the same time! Yes! Scripture Memory Songs is one example! SMK helps kids, of any age, memorize God’s Word in an exciting and effective way. Each Scripture Memory Songs CD features 13 key Scripture passages, set to music, to make memorizing God’s Word fun, helpful, and easy!

Friend, the moments we spend teaching our children more about God add up. Although it may seem like there isn’t enough time to fit Bible study in, I think there are many more opportunities than we realize. Training or teaching your child doesn’t have to feel like a burden (we know it’s not always easy). It can be fun, informative, and simple. More than anything, I hope that studying God’s Word helps children come to know and love Jesus as their Savior! More than just information, we pray it leads to real and lasting transformation.
I’m cheering for you!
XO,
Ruth
